Dear Big band leaders
I'm professional big band writer and looking for big bands that will perform my currently composed charts.
I recorded the works with jazz musicians in London in order to promote and introduce them to many big bands.
This is not to try selling my charts but just try to broaden my musical horizon with more diverse big bands.
(No need money, I'm just looking for a co-operative work big band as a composer.)
However, don't think that I'm amateur composer. my chrats are absolutely professional and some what advanced or intermediate level to perform (modern and contemporary style).

Als Niederländischer Reiseveranstalter organisieren wir hauptsächlich Musikfestivals und Reisen für Musikvereine.
Wir organisieren ein Internationales Bigband Festival in Berlin in 2011.
Das Festival findet statt im Kammermusiksaal der Philharmonie Berlin am Sonntag, den 12. Juni 2011.
Extra Open Air Konzert ist möglich am Samstag, den 11. Juni 2011.
Das Arrangement ist inklusive ein Workshop von der Holland Bigband.
Gerne organisiert EvenTTours Ihre Reise nach Berlin.
Wir bieten Arrangements mit Wahl zwischen Jugendherberge oder Hotel.

Mendelssohns JAZZ Big Band hofft, dass sie hier richtig ist !!
Mendelssohns JAZZ Big Band sucht die Möglichkeit über ein verlängertes Wochenende bzw. (überlappend der Schulferien)
einen Workshop in BERLIN, KÖLN, MÜNCHEN oder HAMBURG zu machen.
Wir sind eine Musikschul BIG BAND im südniedersächsichen EINBECK , übrigens:
hier gibt es eines der besten Biere Deutschlands!!!( südl.von Hildesheim und etwa 20km nördlich von Göttingen ),
die u.a. vor Ort Workshops abgehalten hat mit Peter Herbolzheimer, Oliver Groenewald und
Anatole Gomersall. Wir haben ein ca. 3 Stunden Big Band Repertoire von Sammy Nestico , Peter Herbolzheimer , Oliver
Groenewald-Arrangements bis hin zum "BLUE RONDO A LA TURK" und "WHAT IS HIP" -Titel u.a.im Programm.
Wir könnten uns sehr gut vorstellen, in die obengenannten Städte zu kommen, um einen Workshop gemeinsam mit
einem (Blech) oder einem (Saxophon) entsprechenden guten, netten und pädagogisch-wertvollen Musiker, Musiklehrer oder gemeinsam mit einer dort ansässigen Big Band durchzuführen oder durchführen zu lassen!

I would like to propose you some exciting composers/soloists who could be very interesting to invite for your next big band project or big band masterclass.
All these 3 composers do have their own original compositions and can also be invited as main soloist.
a.. Bert Joris (B) - trumpet
Bert Joris is one of the most important contemporary big band composer and arranger in Europe. In his carreer as trumpeter, he worked with Joe Lovano, Al Porcino, Bobby Shew, Wallace Roney, Lew Tabackin, ... . Currently, he is in the quartet of guitarist Philip Catherine and works with his own quintet.
In his big band carreer, Bert worked with the WDR big band, EBU Jazz Orchestra, NDR big band, Peter Herbolzheimer big band, Metropole Orchestra. Bert plays regurlarly with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra. He is one of the house composers of this ensemble; in 2002 the BJO released a double album with almost all Bert's big band charts. This record was a succes and sold 5000 copies in the BENELUX which is quite remarkable.
Last month, the BJO and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Flanders created "Dangerous Liaison" for big band and symphonic orchestra. The first time for Bert that he wrote for such an unusual ensemble.
Bert is teaching at the Swiss Jazz School and regurlarly becomes invited as guestsoloist to perform his masterpieces like "Walkin' Tiptoe" and "Mr. Dodo".
a.. Frank Vaganée (B) - alto sax
Frank is one of those jazzcats to focus on; in 1999 he met Kenny Werner at the Middelheim Jazz Festival and Kenny fel immediately in love with Franks incredible playing. You can say that Frank is moving between the most exciting alto players of our time. Frank is alto sax teacher at the conservatory of Gent and Leuven.
Besides his pedagogical work, he is also the artistic director of the Brussels Jazz Orchestra. He is one of the founders of the orchestra and let it grow to one of the most important contemporary big bands in Europe. He worked with people as Tom Harrell, Bert Joris, Maria Schneider, Kenny Werner, Philip Catherine, Toots Thielemans, Kenny Wheeler, Norma Winstone, Wallace Roney, Bill Holman, and many, many more. Besides Bert Joris, Frank is also one of the house composers of the BJO. Many of his works are recorded by the BJO.
a.. Michel Herr (B) - piano
It is impossible to resume Michel's biography on 1 page. Since the 70-ies, he is active on the European jazz scene and played with the greatest (Chet Baker, Slide Hampton, Johnny Griffin, Lee Konitz, Bill Frisell, ...). He was invited on the most important jazz festivals.
These days, he works with his European Quintet and created the project Unexpected Encounters, a nine-piece ensemble combining his European Quintet with a string quartet.
Michel has a solid reputation as composer: he composed for big band, for television, movies, ... . This year, Michel was invited by the WDR big band. They played and recorded his music.
