Hubert Barth, born
Sept.10th 1960, alto-, baritone-, soprano- and tenorsaxophone.
First stage appearance May 20th 1983.
- 1983-1984 "Never
Together" Big Band
- 1984-1987 "Rolf
Momsen Septett". 1984 the band took a 3rd price at
the competition "Jugend Jazzt NRW", 1986 radio
appearance in "WDR-Stadtmusik"
- 1985 "Just for
Funk" (Funk-Pop)
- 1986-1988
"Vibramin C" (Fusion)

"Bernies Big Band"
- 1987-1988
"JSCB" Big Band. 1987 the band qualified for
the national orchestra - competition (big bands) and made
one of 3 first prices 1988 in Berlin.
- 1988 the former
members of the Rolf Momsen Septett found the "BBRB"*,
1991 a live-CD is recorded, the band tours Germany and
Switzerland as well as playing single gigs in Austria and
Greece.
- 1989 at the turn of
the year some major changes happen at "Bernies Big
Band", part of the personal gets replaced, the band
takes the step beyond being a school band. In march the
band gets a call towards Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus,
playing theatre music for two seasons. The piece played
is "Broadway bound" by Neil Simon. Following
this the band makes some appearances as "Broadway
Big Band". Sometimes after 1993 the band ceases to
exist.

appearance as bari player with "Supersession"
- 1991 studio
recordings with the "Horrible Horns" which appear on the CD
"Mr. Thing & the professional human beings"
by the same band from New York City.
- 1992 CD-recording as
guest on"Mixtura Solvens" by Hartmann / Bonnen
- 1992 CD-recording
with the "Horrible Horns" ,"Don Promillo"

- 1993-1994 "4
Style" (Pop)
- 1993- yearly project "Yes to Jazz".
- 1995 The old big band
gets revived. The repertoire is rapidly developing
towards more modern compositions hence the name is
changed to "Bandfire".
- 1997 studio recording
with the "Horrible Horns" which appear on Gloria
Gaynors CD "The Answer"
- 1997 studio recording
with the "Horrible Horns" , customer is the Hamburg
based Blues-guitarist Paddy Korn.
- 1998 Live-double-CD
with the "BBRB"* "We play both", just in
time for the bands 10th anniversary.
- 2003 The "BBRB"* ceases to
exist because of a name issue.
- 2004 ... and gets relaunched under
new name: "Still on a
Mission" with a new horn section.
- since 2004 "Klaus Esser Big
Band"
- 2007 Guest with the Jugendorchester
